SideStreet Malta is a digital platform for young people in Malta: a place to speak up, share views and challenge the status quo. Ahead of a national election, it needed a sharper identity that would stand out, engage a young audience and grow with it. In a short time.

About SideStreet Malta and the challenge, on a dark background

How was the SideStreet work done?

  • —Planning: discussions and strategy.
  • —Brand refresh, in one to two weeks: the wordmark, social media templates and launch material.
  • —Rollout, over one month, across every channel.
  • —Tools: Photoshop, Illustrator and Affinity Designer.

What did we change?

  • —The wordmark: bolder and cleaner, true to the old logo, and easy to use in any format.
  • —Social media templates: structured but flexible, so the team could publish fast and stay consistent.
  • —Launch material: we worked with the team on the rollout, so every asset was ready for the campaign.

What changed for SideStreet?

It went into a busy campaign with one clear, recognisable look, in digital and in print. The templates made content quicker to produce, so the team could say more, more often.

What did SideStreet teach us?

A brand has to grow with the organisation. For SideStreet, the refresh was more than a new logo: it served the mission to engage and empower young people in Malta.
